Nicole Brown is an associate in Koskie Minsky's litigation group. Her practice focuses on class proceedings. Before joining Koskie Minsky, Nicole practiced general commercial litigation in the Toronto office of a national law firm. Nicole's litigation practice included products liability, professional negligence, insurance, personal injury (including sexual assault), environmental and class action litigation. Since being called to the Ontario bar in 2002, Nicole has represented clients at the Supreme Court of Canada, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Divisional Court, the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Securities Commission, the Walkerton Inquiry, the Sponsorship Inquiry, and the Environmental Review Tribunal. Nicole has also served as independent counsel during the enforcement of an Anton Pillar Order. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts and Science (Honours) degree with a minor in Biology from McMaster University. Nicole has also partially completed a Masters of Environmental Studies degree from York University. Nicole is a member of the Advocates' Society and has been published in Legal Alert. |
