Class Action Launched Against the 407 ETR and the Province
of Ontario
UPDATE
In the April 23, 2003 court approval of the settlement and certification of the
late payment fee class action, the 407ETR agreed to offer a $6 credit on the
accounts of up to 840,000 customers. As well, anyone who had been charged the
Late Payment Fee as a result of an administrative or system error was eligible
for a credit of the entire $30 fee.

September 5, 2003 was the deadline for the filing of any claims against the
