Nancy is a partner at Koskie Minsky LLP, with a practice devoted exclusively to the area of employment law (an area in which our firm ranked as the top-rated Toronto firm according to Lexpert/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada).
Nancy leverages her expertise to effectively represent non-unionized employers and employees. She is thoroughly versed in issues surrounding all aspects of the employment relationship from hiring, discipline, disability management, performance management, through to termination. She is frequently engaged on the preparation and negotiation of employment contracts and manuals, policies and assistance with Bill 168 compliance in an effort to proactively minimize risks and cost for her employer clients.
As a member of the firm’s litigation department Nancy also litigates wrongful dismissal, breach of contract, discrimination, constructive dismissal, director and officer liability and errors and omissions issues and partnership/shareholder disputes in the employment context. Nancy is on the LawPro preferred counsel list and offers representation to lawyers in errors and omissions cases involving this subject matter.
Nancy’s clients commend her level of service. She provides superior practical risk management advice, is a strong negotiator and strategic litigator. Nancy assists both employers and employees in crisis situations and always provides timely and reliable counsel.
Nancy services clients in a wide variety of sectors including: accounting, administration, advertising, broadcasting and production, brokerage, collections, construction, dentistry, design, finance, insurance, legal, medical, manufacturing and sales, marketing, non-profit organizations, pension administration, pharmaceutical, public sector management, real estate development and property management, retail, technology, temporary-help agencies, transportation, web-based enterprise. She is also counsel to the Canadian Dental Protective Association (CDPA) providing employment law assistance to its members.
